When in an app such as Microsoft Word or Outlook, JAWS will announce the text (foreground) and background colors at your cursor location.
Knowing text color is important when editing or proofing documents because color is often used for emphasis or comments.
To check the text and background colors:
1.) Navigate to the text you want to check.
2.) Press INSERT+5 on the number row if using Desktop keyboard layout, and CAPS LOCK+5 if using Laptop layout.
3.) JAWS will speak the text color, followed by the background color. For example, black on white.
