JAWS Power Tip: How To Turn Off the New Acrobat Reader Interface

When you start Adobe Acrobat Reader for the first time, the New acrobat Reader Interface will be enabled.

We recommend disabling this and reverting back to the legacy interface to ensure access to all features and functionality.

To do this:

1.) Open Acrobat Reader.

2.) Press ALT+F to open the context menu.

3.) Press DOWN ARROW until you locate Disable New Acrobat Reader. You will need to press DOWN ARROW several times to locate this option. Press ENTER to activate it.

A dialog will display prompting you to restart Acrobat Reader.

The text of this dialog may not be read, but you can press TAB to navigate to Restart and press ENTER.

Acrobat Reader will restart displaying the legacy interface.

This setting should remain in effect, so you will not need to reset it when opening Acrobat Reader in the future.
