The new Outlook desktop app has a new design that differs from that of Outlook Classic, and can be navigated with JAWS using keyboard commands. While some commands have changed, others, like moving a message, have not.

For those who primarily read using Braille, it can be difficult to determine when text includes specific font attributes like bold, italics, or underline. Unified English Braille (UEB) and other Braille codes define dot patterns which are used as Braille indicators that may precede and follow text to identify the specific attribute being used. For example, in UEB, Dots 4-6 represents italicized text, while Dots 4-5-6 represents underlined text. In the March update of JAWS 2025, you can now configure JAWS to show font attribute marks when reading or editing documents using Braille.

Live Text View is a ZoomText screen magnifier feature that improves the readability of on-screen text in web browsers and other applications. It displays a continuous line of clear, easy-to-read text across the top or bottom of the screen, showing content from the cursor, mouse pointer, or focus location as you navigate documents, emails, and web pages. This content displays in a window known as the Live Text View, where you can customize the font, size, and color contrast to match your reading preferences. For example, use Live Text View to read text that uses decorative fonts and italic styles. While these styles work well for calling attention to the text, they can be difficult to read. Live Text View makes this text readable in the view window.
