JAWS Power Tip: How To Use JAWS Page Explorer To Provide Tips On Navigating Busy or Complex Web Pages

Page Explorer is a JAWS feature that provides a quick summary of any web page.

It tells you about the page’s layout, main content, important links, and gives you tips for navigating the page efficiently.

To use Page Explorer:

1.) Press INSERT+SHIFT+E (if using desktop layout) or CAPS LOCK+SHIFT+E (if using laptop layout) JAWS will open a summary in the Results Viewer. You can read the overview, activate important links, and get navigation tip, all in one place. This helps you understand complex pages without having to explore every element one by one.

2.) Press ESC to exit the Results Viewer and return to your web page.

Try it the next time you’re on a busy web page!
