JAWS Power Tip: How To Verbalize Column and Row Titles in Google Sheets

You can verbalize column And row titles to hear them spoken as you navigate.

For example, in a personal budget worksheet, column titles may include rent, transportation, and groceries, while row titles can include January, February, March, etc.

This enables you to keep up with where you are in the spreadsheet and is extremely important when you are navigating through long sheets.

To verbalize column titles:

1.) Place focus in a cell containing a column title.

2.) Press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+C. Now, when you navigate across columns, you should hear JAWS speak each column title.

To verbalize row titles:

1.) Place focus in a cell containing a row title.

2.) Press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+R. Now, when you navigate by row, you should hear JAWS speak each row title.
