JAWS Power Tip: How To Read a Table Using The Table Layer in JAWS

Table layer keystrokes offer a fast and convenient way to navigate tables.

The table layer eliminates the need to hold down several keys at once to perform a table navigation command.

1.) When in a table, press INSERT+SPACEBAR, followed by the letter T, to activate the table layer.

2.) Press RIGHT ARROW to move to the right one column, LEFT ARROW to move to the left one column, UP ARROW to move up one row, and DOWN ARROW to move down one row.

3.) Press INSERT+SPACEBAR followed by ? (question mark) to list available Table Layer commands.

4.) Press ESC or navigate away from the table to exit the Table layer.
