Top Tech Tidbits Announces New Micro Advertising Service. Sponsored Tidbits Now Available. Everything You Need To Know.

Sometimes you need to reach the entire access community on a particular day, or within a particular issue of Tidbits. Maybe you’re launching a new product or service that day, or promoting an upcoming event or fundraiser. This has traditionally been very difficult to do, even for sponsors, who are the only ones that could do so in the past, by scheduling one of their Featured Advertisements for a particular issue date. Something they will continue to be able to do. But this did not help anyone else.

That said, we have heard you loud and clear that everyone in the access community, not just sponsors, would like the opportunity to reach the Tidbits audience as needed. And we have heard you for a very long time. But we had to do our research to make sure that we could solve this problem intelligently, without affecting any of the benefits that readers or sponsors currently enjoy. So I will admit that it took us awhile. But I do believe that the solution we have come up with should appeal to everyone. So without further ado, here’s how Sponsored Tidbits will work.

Anyone can now run a Sponsored Tidbit in any issue for just $50 USD by filling out this short form.

Sponsors can now run a Sponsored Tidbit in any issue for just $25 USD by filling out this short form.

All Sponsored Tidbits will be placed as numbered Tidbits at the very top of each issue, just below the #1 Tidbit titled “Top 5 Most Clicked Tidbits From Last Week,” and will always indicate that they are Sponsored, and who they have been sponsored by. Readers will be able to skip these Tidbits just like any other Tidbit, but if they are interested in what your Sponsored Tidbit has to say, it will give those that need it the ability to reach the Tidbits audience when they need to. Whether they are a sponsor or not.

So while you still cannot use the advertising platforms of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or TikTok to get your message out to the access community specifically, you can now use Tidbits to do so at a fraction of the cost. And you can rest assured that your audience will always be specific to access technology.

Although it was discussed at length and in depth there was simply no way that we could offer this service for free. Making Sponsored Tidbits free would have simply filled the newsletter with ads that no one wanted to read. And the very same would happen if the price were too low. So we had to put a price in place that made sense for the size of the audience that an advertiser would reach with their Sponsored Tidbits, while providing Tidbits readers with only the highest quality submissions from these advertisers. Something that our data says this pricing model should do. So together we shall see if the data was right.

So what, exactly, do you get, when you purchase a Sponsored Tidbit? You get scheduled, measurable access to the second most-visited position that the Top Tech Tidbits newsletter has to offer. Sponsors and their Featured Advertisements will always come first in every issue. Sponsored Tidbits will be placed, in the order they are received that week, just under the #1 Tidbit, which is always titled, “The Top 5 Most Clicked Tidbits From Last Week”. Each Sponsored Tidbit will be clearly prefixed with the word “Sponsored By” so that readers can easily distinguish them from editorial Tidbits.

For the full scoop, including ad specifications, restrictions, recommendations and frequently asked questions, please check out the new Sponsored Tidbits page of the Top Tech Tidbits website. If we’ve missed anything, please let us know.

It is our sincerest hope that this new micro advertising service from Top Tech Tidbits will help even more access professionals, educators and enthusiasts to connect with each other whenever they need to. Here’s to that.

If you have thoughts, suggestions, recommendations or frustrations, we’re here. We value all feedback. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Cheers,
